Vijay acted Thuppakki Tamil film released today on Diwali 2022. Vijay fans blushed with smiles in the theatres in the first show early morning. Cinema theatres in Chennai and other cities in Tamil Nadu witnessed more than 90% occupancy. Thuppakki movie firing is good but with unhealthy competition since the competing movie is only Poda Podi of Simbu and small budget Ammavin Kaipesi.

A.R.Murugadoss delivered Thuppakki as an action cum masala movie. Story is centric in Mumbai don scenes but nothing new. Story is about a young man from Tamil family and how his life is upside down all of a sudden. Climax and second half is all about how Vijay tackles these Mumbai problems.
Vijay character is Jagadish and Kajal is portrayed as Nisha. Love between Vijay and Kajal Agarwal is not well told. Other leading casts in the movie are A. R. Murugadoss, Akshara Gowda, Anupama Kumar, Deepthi Nambiar, Gautham Kurup, Jayaram, Manobala, Prashanth Nair, Sathyan, Steven Clarke and Vidyut Jamwal.
Santhosh Sivan’s Cinematography is well delivered in this movie. Harris Jeyaraj missed the music thrill in this thriller said movie. Also Thuppakki music album is averagely rated. Vijay sung “Google Google pannipaathen” is only above average. Thuppakki movie is produced at a budget of Rs 90 crore and distributed by Gemini Film Circuit and SVR Media.

The BAD: Song pictures and locations should have been better in such a big budget movie. Screenplay is not pulling and convincing to the audience. Final climax is more than 10 minutes of fight sequences(unrealistic) between Vidyut and Vijay is boring and audiences start scattering in the first day first show only. The GOOD:Kajal acting is improved in Thuppakki film especially in the songs ‘Antartica’ and ‘Alaikaa Laikaa’. Sreekar Prasad editing is tight even though the length is more.
