Likewise, most, but not all, of our voluntary muscles will be relaxed in sleep. Muscles work in groups. When one member of the group is relaxed, another member is contracted. It follows then that even in sleep some voluntary muscles will be actively flexed and will actively consume calories. From that, it is evident that the more muscular tissue you have, the more you stand to burn up calories, and in the absence of calories, fat. And this is the very reason why getting rid of fat and losing weight are closely related with extreme fitness.

Extreme fitness can only be the result of systematic and regulated exercises. Each exercise should be directed to developing muscles in a specific portion of the body. In other words, extreme fitness is not just about increasing the consumption of calories by activating muscular tissue (as in our informal jogging sessions), it concerns itself with developing muscles in portions of the body and in this way hasten the consumption of stored fat in those same areas. Extreme fitness is achieved by following scientifically derived sets of physical routines. The intensity and the duration of the routines is specifically suited to the needs of the person performing them. In this way, the person doing the exercises is assured that they can only result in a better state of beauty and health for himself.

Everyone is looking for a quick way to lose weight. No such method exists in the current state of our technology. What people should be asking is how to build up muscular tissue fast. This doesn’t mean getting bulges in your biceps, although that is entirely possible. Extreme fitness seeks to maintain good muscular balance throughout the body by building up muscle tissue in places where they are flabby. These are the most likely places where fat will be stored.
