Kylian Mbappe, the superstar of Paris Saint-Germain, is apparently interested in joining Arsenal because of one person.

Mbappe has been strongly linked with a move away from Paris Saint-Germain in recent seasons.

However, in 2022, the Frenchman made a last-minute U-turn and rejected a move to Spanish La Liga side Real Madrid, instead signing a new contract with PSG.

According to reports from last month, Liverpool has emerged as the most legitimate and threatening competitor for Mbappe’s future at PSG.

However, it has been widely speculated that Mbappe is set to transfer to Spain at the end of the 23/24 season.

The Independent reports that Mbappe would ‘willingly join’ Arsenal.

According to the source, the repeat Ligue 1 champions still felt a lack of devotion when Mbappe’s wider circle approached Liverpool last year, but there was no offer from the Anfield management. They just didn’t want him to ruin their entire financial scheme.

“That is also a question of legacy, as it encourages players to follow in the footsteps of Thierry Henry. This passion for history and legends has already shaped his career path.”

Mbappe spoke on his future in January, saying: “First and foremost, I am very, very, very motivated for this year.” It is quite significant. As I previously stated, we have titles to chase, and we have already won one, so that is done. After then, I have yet to make a decision.

“In any case, with the arrangement I reached with the president this summer, it doesn’t matter what he does. We manage to safeguard all parties while maintaining the club’s serenity for the challenges that lie ahead, which remains the most crucial factor.”
